CSR – 1
CSR – 1 Registration, known as the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Fund Acceptance Registration, is a requirement by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) for organizations engaging in CSR activities. This ensures proper monitoring of CSR spending. According to Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, and related Rules, entities must file eForm CSR-1 from April 1, 2021.
Who Needs To Register CSR- 1?
Companies undertaking CSR activities can do so directly or through registered entities like societies, trusts, or Section 8 companies. These entities must register themselves with the Registrar of Companies by filing Form CSR-1 electronically.
What Goes Into Form CSR-1?
Form CSR-1 gathers essential details such as the nature of the entity, its registration details, PAN number, director/management information, and certification by a professional.
How To File Form CSR-1?
To file Form CSR-1, visit the MCA portal, download the form, fill it, get it digitally verified by a professional (CA/CS/Cost Accountant), and submit it online. Upon submission, a unique CSR Registration Number is generated.
Documents Required:
- PAN card copy
- Registration certificate copy
- 12A and 80G exemption certificates
- NGO darpan ID (if applicable)
- Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) of the authorized signatory
- PAN of the authorized signatory
- Company’s CSR policy and report
- Details of subsidiaries and other entities.
